JOB VACANCY: DJW Acting Tutor (Studio based)

JOB PERIOD: Long Term Position (Weekends)

JOB BRIEF: We are looking for long term, enthusiastic and knowledgable tutors with experience to take on a rewarding position within the company. All candidates must be DBS checked, hold a full driving licence and be computer | tech savvy and work from a carefully designed in-house diploma.


The successful candidates will teach ages 7-15 and 16+ and should be available weekends:


Saturdays in Newcastle (4 hours)

Sundays in Teesside (9 hours)


Start dates: TBC (2021)

Pay: This position is paid and more information will be supplied if successful at interview stage.

The DJW School of Acting launched in 2015 and DJW Talent followed shortly after. With a School in Teesside and Newcastle and actors from all over the country signed to DJW Talent, we are now looking to expand our team.


We are looking for qualified drama facilitators | tutors with experience in theatre, television and film and a desire to educate emerging actors in the North East. The successful candidate will be able to display a professional and knowledgable attitude towards all students that they teach and will adopt the DJW approach by attending training days with Company Director and founder Daniel-John Williams.


We are looking to find exciting, enthusiastic, knowledgable and experienced tutors with excellent communication skills, who can continue the ethos of DJW and promote our methods and style. DJW will provide stimulus and workshop material, however workshop leaders will need to lesson prep to bring their own sense of personality and flare to the studio. Experience in showreel shoots, headshots, castings, professional work and conduct is a must. Ideally we are looking for someone who has drama school training at Degree level (BA HONS).


Some duties will include:


Lesson preparation

Lesson delivery

Record keeping

Safeguarding all students

Reporting any incidents and accidents

Liaising with DJW Management Team

Providing information to students and parents


Additional requirements and job duties will be discussed during the interview stages.
